What type of visa do you have now? I would consider consulting an immigration specialist to ensure that everything is done correctly.
Here's a government site: Visa Wizard
If you need an employer to sponsor you, it may be difficult because in most area there is an oversupply of nurses.
But I heard that with my rn license from my country I can apply for nclex and once I get my license here I can still work here rite?
It's not that simple. You don't qualify for an H1B visa as a new grad. Depending on your country of birth, the backlog wait due to retrogression for an EB (employment based) visa can be 2-12 years. No employer is going to hold a job for anyone that long. Both visas require employer sponsorship and a bona fide job offer. There is no incentive for an employer to hire a new, inexperienced grad nurse with no paid work experience as a nurse when most of the US (especially popular metropolitan areas) have an abundance of US educated new & experienced nurses that are citizens/permanent residents.
