First off, I love allnurses.com!..I know there are many places to post threads here but I really wanted to post it hear- feel free to move it , it you feel the need..
I just finished my microbio class this semester (my last non-nursing class.)
I have been on a waitlist for a ADN program for since March2009 (it took me awhile to even get on this waitlist.) AND I GOT MY ACCEPTANCE LETTER TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :redbeathe I start clinicals FALL2010!!! (that will be over a year & a half wait) BUT SO WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never been so happy in my life. I also just started my first job at a hospital as a unit coordinator (I just finished orenitation there today!) I am excited to get my foot in the door and just be in a hopsital. And also, get some experience before clincials. I have been applying to hospitals for about a year now for a job. I have been waiting soo long for my letter for clincials. I have worked so hard to get to this point & have never giving up. I know a lot of people are in my same shoes & I just want to say NEVER GIVE UP! If you love nursing & have so much passion for it--DO IT. It is so worth it when it all comes together SOO WORTH IT!
I understand I am going to have to continue work very hard at my new job & for clinicals--I have never been so ready for something! It really is the best feeling.
**WORK HARD & NEVER GIVE UP & GOOD THINGS WILL HAPPEN!**
Any advice or commets are apprecaited!!!!

Remember this when you are at the bedside. The more you give, the more you get in return.
