Hi, I have an interview paper I am suppose to do for school. It is for my community health class so needs to be a nurse who works in community health, home health or public school nurse. If you would be interested I would be greatly appreciated. I will post the questions that I am suppose to go over. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
What is your role in this area?
What additional training and/or education prepared you for your role?
What duties do you perform for the community in your role?
Are there any unique cultural features of the population that you interact with in the community?
What aspects of the culture present positive and/or negative influences for individuals to maintain health?
What are some external and internal barriers that limit preventative health care in the community?
What are some external and internal factors that promote preventative health care in the community?
How do collaborative professional relationships interact to provide health care in this community?

Part of the point if this assignment is to interview a live person, not cut and paste answers from a stranger on the internet who may or may not be as represented. It’s also so you can learn how to identify those people in your community, a useful skill. Finally, it’s practice fir talking to strangers, an essential nursing skill. So call your local public health department, visiting nurse association, school department, and set up a phone interview or socially distanced meeting. Have fun!

I usually don't answer these posts, as PP explained it well. But I was suddenly overwhelmed by a vivid, career changing memory - I only lasted MAYBE 6 months in community health.
******* In a nutshell, my sickest pts were my poorest, and my poorest pts were my sickest. This cut short my experience then.
My district to cover was inner urban and Medicaid/indigent/charity care. The services that pts needed were waaaay beyond what was avail. Even my experienced team members could do little, as this was in times before many federal & state programs could offer more comprehensive services beyond basic, pared-down Medicare.
Guiding words - keep my ******** in mind. Seems money is still at the root of HC, now & then.
