Hi!
Are there any Women's Health NPs out there? I'm considering going back to school for either FNP or Women's Health Care NP in Frontier's online program. Is there a market for WHNPs?? Or is it better to go for Family?
Thanks!

Yes, totally for the Womens NP these NP's work in hospitals and in conjunction with ob/gyns for exams and follow up. Most of the hospitals have these NPs in the GYN wards doing rounds and in clinics for birth control etc. I am thinking this would be a great NP to get. Considering the online programs. Anyone have recommendations on any specifically good online programs. Smiles

I'd go for the widest scope of practice possible and vote for the FNP.
At least in my area, the WHNPs, and the GNPs and psych NPs have a very difficult if not impossible job market.

Though WH is my love, I'm currently in FNP school. The PNP and WHNP jobs around here are scarce. Obviously, I vote FNP. Give yourself some wiggle room! I will probably go back for a post master's cert in WH at some point though.
Thank you for your replies. I am definitely leaning toward FNP since there is more flexibilty and a wider range of jobs!
