I have 2 weeks left until I take the NCLEX. I"M SO NERVOUS!!! ahhhhh!!! How many questions should I be doing a day? At least 100 right? Maybe more? I don't want to burn myself out. But I also want to be prepared to sit there for 265 if I have to. What methods have worked best for the people who passed?

I took the NCLEX on yesterday, so I will find out tomorrow if I passed, but I should be able to give you some advice. I don't think you can ever do too many practice questions. I studied for a solid 5-6 weeks and tried so do a couple hundred questions a day, at least, as well as reading review material (I primarily used Davis's book, Kaplan Strategies book, Saunders, and the Delegation, prioritizing, and assignment book.)
You have to be prepared to sit for all 265 questions, so I would suggest you do as many questions in one sitting as you can, so you build up your mental endurance. As far as burnout goes, just make sure you finish your studying 1-2 days in advance of the exam. Give your brain a rest and do something fun/relaxing. Your brain will thank you. The day before my exam, I spent the whole day cleaning the house, which took my mind off the test. I went into test day with a clear mind and a clear head so I could focus, and I think it worked:)
I took 75 questions...and I'll find out tomorrow!

Try doing 100 each day, can be in 2 sittings. Make sure you read the rational for each question, even if youo get it right. I say the more you do the better as long as you understand why you got it right or wrong.

I have not done more than about 115 in one setting. Should I try doing 265 in 2 or 3 settings just so I can prepare myself, just in case I do get that many questions?

I made sure that I began to work myself up to answering the maximum amount of questions because there is a chance that you may have to sit for that. Make sure that the questions are varied at this point because that is usually how NCLEX is. Good luck.
Ok another stupid question...
Which is more important?
I am able to sit and do a bunch of questions.... its just reading the rationale that kills me. Should I do 265 max adn then go back and read the rationale when my brain is kind of tired? Or is it best just to do the 265 to the best of your ability and not go over the rationale until you're brain is no longer tired? I usually do about 100 then go over the rationale and then do some more. I have been using hte Kaplan Qbank and you only get 50 questions max. So then I'll go over those questions and then I'll do some on my Saunders CD and then some out of my stat nursing workbook.
I would be able to do more questions if I didn't read the rationales. Its the ratonales that take soo long.
Oh, and I have ADD.. so my attention span is very limited! lol
