Just got accepted into a BSN program not to long ago and had to do a background check. The only thing it showed was a ticket for no seat belt in 2008. I have a like three speeding tickets all together but they didn't show up.
The one other violation I have is driving a motorcycle on a permit without having a licensed driver over 21 following me when I was 18 (I am 24 now). I seriously doubt this would cause me any problems, but just wanted to make sure?

I don't think so. Usually looking for convicted felons or abusers. I don't think traffic violations would constitute a danger to patients receiving care.

If you are concerned, contact your Board and ask.
I ended up just calling my states BON and they told me it's no big deal...my application will fly through.

Those violations aren't going to be issues, just make sure you don't do anything else
Your application won't "fly through", LOL, it'll go at the same snail's pace they all do :)
LOL, yep. She actually used that exact term. I know it does take a great deal of time.

I had a speeding ticket and got through, almost done with BSN. They are looking for charges like felonies such as physical/sexual assaults, neglect of care/child abuse/elder abuse, drug charges, thefts, etc.

I hope you are not betting your future on a nursing message board. You need to talk with admissions at the school and with the BON of the state where you want to be licensed and find out the the truth. THAT is where you will "make sure"
Already contacted BON after I made the thread and they said it's absolutely no big deal and I will be fine.
