when will i receive my Liecense??

Hi

I am not sure if this is the right place for this thread but i am posting it into general discussion.

I will be taking my Nclex-PN exam in florida by the end of Aug and then i would be moving to Texas by mid sept. After getting results at pearsonvue.com(quick results), how long does it take to receive the physical liecense at home. I want to receive the liecence before i move to Texas. Do u guys think i will receive it before i move to Texas or Shall i call the florida nursing board after i get my result at pearsonvue.com and tell them to mail my liecense to my Texas address.

Would appreciate ur advice and suggestion.

I don't know how other states work, but you should get it by then. I took my Nclex last Tuesday, found out on Wednesday morning online, got a letter telling me I passed on Thursday, and got my license in the mail on Friday.

I am from Wisconsin and I got mine within 2 weeks. I once was in a similar situation (moving, and wanting to change my address via phone, etc.). The info I gave over the phone was misinterpreted/mistranscribed, so my new address was messed up. Make sure you have them read back your new address, phone number, etc. (Much like a readback for a verbal order....LOL).

Good luck on your exam and try not to stress out about it in the meantime. The stress will not do you any good.

I am curious what the reciprocity is for Texas-Florida. Are there any other states that have reciprocity with these two states?

That relieved some of the pressure. But i will try posting the same thread in Florida section just to check when we receive the liecence in florida.

I live in Ohio. I took my NCLEX-PN on a Thursday, I found out on my BON website that my license was approved with my license number on Friday and on Saturday I had my license in my mailbox!
