Hello everyone, I just joined AllNurses (though i have been lurking for many months) I am a nursing student in an ADN program and want to go to OU to do my completion online. I have A&P1 with 3 credits, on OUs site it requires 4 credits. I have emailed them about this and sadly have not received a response back. I wanted to see if anyone got theirs accepted as 3 credits from their DARS, so i know if i should retake it this summer for 4 credits.

I don't know that I personally would go "retaking" A&P to get the additional credit until I knew exactly what was needed. Instead of A&P I, IF you still need A&P credits, take A&P II. Until OU has your official transcripts, in my opinion, they will not be able to tell you anything for sure. Are your A&P credits quarter or semester hour? Do you only have to take 3 credit hours for your program? Did that include lab hours? Good luck finishing your ADN!

I know, i have emailed them twice already with no reply in 2 weeks. I was hoping others would know if their credits had been accepted or denied due to being a credit short. I have already taken A&P2 it is not that i need more credits for it. The problem is that i have 3 credits (the lab was worth 0 credits and averaged into the class) in semester hours. It is fine for my ADN program and other schools, i still have time left in my ADN but since it is known for taking forever on the DARS i was going to begin sending in my transcripts this summer. I would choose to retake it here at a cheaper college thats minutes from my house if i am going to have to retake it. Thank you so much for your reply!

It may be that you need something in the same category as A&P but don't actually have to take A&P to fulfill the requirement. Only an advisor who actually reviews your transcripts will be able to tell you for sure. Unfortunately, you will have to apply and send in transcripts first and probably will have several classes done before you know the answer.
