Hi! I took Bio 1 and 2 for my AA and I am wondering if others have taken it and if it helped them with A&P 1 and 2 at all. I hear all these horror stories of how difficult these classes (which I believe since I really struggled with Bio1) and I am worried I won't have the grades I'll need to get into a BSN program. Any thoughts?
Has anyone taken bio and have it help with A&P? Anyone?

I just don't find A&P all that hard. It's a lot to learn, but I just don't think it is that difficult. I also have an incredible teacher.
That being said, I had Bio in high school, and 8 years later I am now in nursing school, just now finishing A&P 2. Bio was a required, along with Chemistry, before we could register for A&P. I don't really remember anything from Bio, except for general knowledge. I learn everything I need from A&P.

In my school bio 1 & 2 were actually pre reqs for a&p and micro, but I got them waived. I don't think it is necessary to have them, but it certainly won't hurt you. Some of the terminology and physiologic things might make more sense to you because they relate to gen bio. I remembered a lot of things from my high school biology course (terms like "lysis", etc) which helped me a lot. I wouldn't say you'd have to review any bio before taking these classes though, you'll learn everything you need to know.

yes bio will help you. I am pretty sure bio covered the cell functions & structures, metabolism, and some other useful stuff so some of a&p will be a review for you.
