Since you already sent off everything to the Texas BON, you will have your answer soon. So there is no point in speculating and stressing yourself out.
The BON will send you a letter back soon saying either your case will be closed and you will be able to sit for nclex or they will send letter back that says otherwise like maybe stipulations or something.

This website says one misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge is rarely a cause for dismissal of licensing etc.
Really no updates from the Board yet. Finger prints were submitted along with D.O. as well. I called them regarding the status of this information and basically I still wait for a letter or response from them. However, it was stated by them on the phone that the review began on April 14th. Any ideas on when I should hear back from them or get a letter?
March 30, 2016 I went in for the fingerprints via IdentoGo. It took them 30 days after you did your fingerprints? April 30th would have made 30 days since they went sent. I guess I should reserve some extra cash to send them if they do want to take it to Enforcement Department. This process will just have to make me patient and wait for an answer. Thank you for your feedback. How's everything going with your career in Nursing?
The Board of Nursing sent the letter on May 10, which I have received today on the 16th. It said application has been reviewed and they have determined that upon meeting the requirements for graduation and payment of any required fees, I will be "eligible" to sit for the NCLEX. In bold it says this letter doesn't serve as your authorization to practice nursing or to sit for the NCLEX. I would ultimately have to submit the paper version of the NCLEX exam application, declare my eligibility issue, and attach a copy of this letter and an appropriate fee 90-120 days before I graduate.

I'm looking to enroll in college fairly soon. So with that saying I mailed my Declaratory Order to the Board of Nursing in Texas. I was arrested for possession of marijuana in 2014. Slowly but surely the arrest was soon expunged and I just received a letter from the Department of Public Safety stating the court order signed by the judge. So I mailed the certified court order to the Board of Nursing with my Declaratory Order and also a short statement stating I checked the first question as yes only because of the expunged arrest to be completely honest. Will they allow me to sit and take the NCLEX Exam upon completion of college? I only wonder what the BON of Texas will say.
