Why can't I sfind the drop-down box for specific forums?

The only way I can find, say, "geriatric and LTC" is to find a thread from that forum and then click on the link next to the title that will take one directly to that forum.

Wha' happen'?

I PM'd one of the mods about it. Here was her answer:

Brian has hired a website developer this week to help upgrade the site. The bb is starting a major restructuring process to make it faster and better expected to take ~ 6 months for major revision.

Many "extra" features will be temporarily dismantled as part of the process.

To date following are not operational per developer:

a. Count down

b. Forum jump --- huge load on server with 200 forums listed

c. Currently Active Users" on forum index page

See if you still have the gray toolbar along the top of each page. If so, you can click on Forums, then either All Forums or Nursing Specialty Forums and go from there.
