I'm signed up for Sat Sept 22. 11am My kids will be back in school soon and i hope to have little distraction to study for the next few weeks. I'm going to do Suzanne's plan with the Saunders book. It helped me pass the NCLEX-PN and I hope the same for the NCLEX-RN.
Let's keep each other motivated. I can't find much energy these days to do it-so I come here for someDoing Suzanne's plan is an excellent choice. :balloons:
I'm all for that! I need all the encouragement and support I can get! Failing the first time was a huge blow for me, but I'll nail it this time around, there's no other option. What are you doing to study for the NCLEX, Jess? Good luck with it, chick! :icon_hug:

Let see: I pray! I took kaplan review course, and am doing Suzanne's plan. I pray that we are just as successful as the others who have passed!
PM me any time!!
We WILL succeed, because we have the mindset, the wherewithal, and the tenacity to achieve this! I did not work my orifice off for the last four years just to get this far and let a silly exam screw up my dreams.
I also took the Insanely Easy/Sylvia Mayfield course and while it was ok, it did not make me feel as prepared as the Kaplan strategy book I read. I'm all for reviewing content, but (and it was proven to me in NS) I'm a terrible test taker and had a terrible panic attack when I took the boards the first time. The strategies helped me immensely, so now I'm just going over concepts and content and doing tonnnnsss of practice questions.
Still freaking out over this whole BON-not-getting-back-to-me thing. It's been over a month since I sent of my identification document and still no word. Ugh... :uhoh21:
You'll need the Saunder's NCLEX review book (the CD is excellent as well!) and go to this link, follow the directions, and you're golden. Probably one of the cheaper options out there for NCLEX review, by the way. Good luck!

That is my problem too-I panick when taking an exam. Also, I can't just sit and read, I fall asleep. BUT, I can sit in front of the pc and do q's from the cd no problem. I am sticking with that for now and wishing for the best. I am still in school (pinning is the 24th)-so I am studying for my final and HESI.
I have been so anxious, depressed, overwhelmed these past few months........I am mentally exhausted (too much going on in my life right now).
Anyhow, hubby is plain sick of me for the most part and I just keep everything to myself.
You WILL be successful this time around.........it's all about focusing and learning how to relax during the exam because you know this stuff
GOOD NEWS!!!!! I got my ATT in my email inbox about an hour ago! I'd been stressing like mad that my ID document had been lost in the mail, there was a backlog of paperwork at the BON, or that maybe fate just did not want me become a nurse after all.
But it came! I scheduled my test date for August 22nd. Not quite September, but it's plenty soon enough for me! Hurray!!! :balloons::balloons::roll

CONGRATULATIONS Tanzanite!! :balloons: How happy I am for you! I had to schedule mine for 10/4 (next Thurs) and pray I too pass.
