We've had several threads from everyone saying they were accepted to various schools, but if everyone is willing let's do one big thread for everyone that will be starting anesthesia school this summer or fall. If you don't mind please include where you applied, the status from each school ( meaning didn't get an interview, interviewed and not accepted/made alternate/accepted), and the school you chose and why. I applied to :
1) Medical College of Georgia- interviewed and made alternate
2) Samford (in Birmingham)- interviewed and accepted
3) University of Alabama at Birmingham- interviewed and accepted and will be going there this fall. I chose UAB because I loved the Director and all of their clinicals are in Birmingham, so I won't have to travel all over the state.

Congrats!! Isn't it a wonderful feeling? I know you're on a "natural high." I was in your shoes on Thanksgiving (Got the phone call from Northeastern the day before). However, I've settled into the OMG I'm gonna have to study 24/7 phase. Now's the time to focus on friends and family. Happy New Year...you're in for a helluva ride in '08. :balloons:

Congratulations!!! I'm a reservist returning to active duty. I was previously commissioned as a critical care nurse(66H8A) in the Army Nurse Corps...hooah!! Check your PM... :cheers:
Maybe it's a good thing I haven't heard from TCU yet. I have a half marathon tomorrow morning, and if I don't get accepted, I know that would really get into my head during the race. So, I will enjoy my race then hang out with friends to watch the Charger-Patriot game, with the tremendous hopes that next week will bear good news! My birthday is Tuesday, and getting into TCU would be the best birthday present ever!

blas311, I got my letter from TWU on Friday. I was actually told at the interview that I got in, but I didn't want to talk about it on the forum until I received the official letter and after Neurogeek got accepted to a program (which I knew she would, she's too talented of a candidate to turn away!).
