We've had several threads from everyone saying they were accepted to various schools, but if everyone is willing let's do one big thread for everyone that will be starting anesthesia school this summer or fall. If you don't mind please include where you applied, the status from each school ( meaning didn't get an interview, interviewed and not accepted/made alternate/accepted), and the school you chose and why. Thanks, so much!
I applied to :
1) Medical College of Georgia- interviewed and made alternate
2) Samford (in Birmingham)- interviewed and accepted
3) University of Alabama at Birmingham- interviewed and accepted and will be going there this fall. I chose UAB because I loved the Director and all of their clinicals are in Birmingham, so I won't have to travel all over the state.
Thank you all for the great posts. I have been gleaning information from them for a year now, and it has made all the difference in getting in. I am thrilled to say that I have been accepted to Wake Forest Baptist, my first choice, and start next fall. It is hard to believe somedays that I am in.

I just recently looked into Union. What made you decide on Union as a school of choice. I am just trying to get some info on this school because I am really interested in attending.

:smiley_aaCONGTATS TO YOU!:smiley_aa I believe that this forum helped me get into my BSN program, hopefully a few years from now it will help me get into CRNA school also!
Going to USAGPAN in San Antonio, TX. First Choice, first try. Start 16 Jun 08.
Congrats! I was a civil servant nurse in the ED at Brooke Army Medical Center for many years. Loved it! The military nurses, docs, CRNA's, etc. that I worked with were some of the finest staff I've ever had the opportunity to spend time with.
I got in! Applied-interviewed and horrah! Drexel/Our Lady of Lourdes anesthesia program. First and only choice because of its highly rated clinical experience. Best wishes to all those who did it! Start Summer '08
Congrats!! Isn't it a wonderful feeling? I know you're on a "natural high." I was in your shoes on Thanksgiving (Got the phone call from Northeastern the day before). However, I've settled into the OMG I'm gonna have to study 24/7 phase. Now's the time to focus on friends and family. Happy New Year...you're in for a helluva ride in '08. :balloons:
