Who's going to Anesthesia school?

Published

We've had several threads from everyone saying they were accepted to various schools, but if everyone is willing let's do one big thread for everyone that will be starting anesthesia school this summer or fall. If you don't mind please include where you applied, the status from each school ( meaning didn't get an interview, interviewed and not accepted/made alternate/accepted), and the school you chose and why. Thanks, so much!

I applied to :

1) Medical College of Georgia- interviewed and made alternate

2) Samford (in Birmingham)- interviewed and accepted

3) University of Alabama at Birmingham- interviewed and accepted and will be going there this fall. I chose UAB because I loved the Director and all of their clinicals are in Birmingham, so I won't have to travel all over the state.

Congrats to all! I'll start TCU in the Fall!

If I may ask, where are you going to do your clinicals? Congrats on getting in, me too. I am going to Colton, CA for clinicals

Wow...Cali! Congratulations! I'm thankful I get to stay right here in Ft Worth! (I am going to Dallas some, too). Are you from Texas?

Worked in Fort Worth for couple of years. Right now working in Kansas by way of Oklahoma by way of California, we've been transferred around a lot. I'll stay on campus the first year then on to Cali. I am thinking about applying to Samford in order to start next January. Also considering applying to UAB, but hate to wait over a year to start CRNA school.

Do you have any suggestions on gaining acceptance into either program? I am worried about my GPA and GRE scores. How was the interview process?

Thanks!
