  1. HI all I am a SRNA currently, who was a computer software engineer as well. I was a consultant for qute a few years, and I quit that to become a RN.. I am now in my first year. 2 more years.. It is worth it... Just do it PM me if you have questions
  2. HI there, I have MS in computer science and then I switched to nursing after being a SW consultant for quite a few years. But then, I got MENP (Masters entry to nursing Practice, MSN) in order to get into CRNA program. As far as I know, you can get into these programs with ADN as long as you have the required 1 year critical care experience and all the certs. they need PM me if you need more info
  3. I applied only Evanston Northwestern and got accepted. I will be doing this part time and will have about 27 months before I start the clinicals.
  4. Evanston Northwestern (Hospital) school of Anesthesia. http://cards.funnystories.ru/288100
  5. I got accepted to Evanston NW program in IL. I had a pretty decent score after studying Kaplan words and Kaplan prep book. I would recommend that to you. I took 6 months time to study since I have a full time job and 2 young children. Please take your time to prep well... Good luck http://cards.funnystories.ru/288100
  6. I got my acceptance to ENH in IL y'day. Class of 2010!!! Hurray!
  7. Are clinical questions related to drugs or hemodynamic monitoring? Can you please explain that.. you can also PM me thanks
  8. Hi all I would like to know the interview process at Evanston? Is it clinical or non clinical? What kind of questions can I expect? How long is the interview? I am little nervous after reading some of the interview related threads... I see all other schools but not Evanston.... I hope some one from Evanston would respond here. Please help
  9. Sorry! wrongly framed question. I was going to ask you, " When were you called in for an interview?" I was told that they look at the applications in Feb and may be called for interview in March/April Thanks
  10. Hi SLSB2 Wondering when you heard from Evanston regarding the interview? Just like anyone else on the board, I am anxious to know. Thanks Hi APNgonnable, I do not know much about the Evanston program but went to the other school for MSN and so if you need to know anything about DePaul email me. I will be glad to help you. I know a few instructors at Evanston but that's about it. I applied for 2007 with minimal experience and I haev always heard from people who graduated from Evanston that you need really good GRE scores and GPA to get in... I will be taking my GRE in December.
  11. My GRE is very old. I do not mind taking it again to be competitive again for the school. Do you remember what kind of questions were asked at the interview? How many students in your class? Thanks
  12. I have another MS for which I took GRE. It is too old now. Although I have a great GPA from that MS as well, they want me to take GRE again. I have no other choice since they will NOT accept those scores anymore. I have shadowed CRNA as a student but not recently after I got the job. But I have no doubts about the job and my liking for it. But as you said, I have to shadow now so that I will have something to discuss at the interview.
  13. Also, how many interviews did you have to attend? Also, how long did you have to wait after the interview to know the results? Thanks
  14. No, I am not applying for 2007 to Rush since the deadline was september and I did not have any material ready at that time. But if I do not get in at Evanston, I will try at Rush for 2008. Thanks for your encouragement. I am PALS, ACLS certified as well. I am hoping to get good GRE score. No, I have not been able to shadow CRNA yet. I have to work on that soon. Yes, you are right. I will be working full time at the same place since I will not be attending DePaul. I graduated from there with a MS in nursing. Thanks again. It is encouraging to know that I might have a slight chance of getting in next year!!!
