Has anyone here completed their CNA with an evening or weekend program?
Which school did you go to in Arizona and what were the times of the class. Also what was the length of the program?

I took it at Central AZ College. AT the time - every Saturday for one semester. We usually started at 8 and finished by 230 pm. Not too bad...

I just finished my CNA evening program. I took it at Emmanuel School of Nursing. The cost is over $1600. It was a five week course and the last week was clinical. Program was M-Th from 5-9 PM, luckily we always left early, around 7 PM. Clinical was from 6 AM - 2 PM. Honestly, I can't believe they made this course so long. You could learn everything in just one week or even less. But, then it wouldn't cost so much.
Just curious...why did you pay so much to learn how to be a CNA?
I want to apply for the LPN Fast Track at Gateway and I need CNA for that. I do not plan on working as CNA and my company reimbursed me 100% for that course, otherwise, I wouldn't pay so much.
I would like to apply to this program as well as traditional RN at GCC and Gateway.

That makes sense...I can't imagine paying that much. The job is total crap - no pun intended. I'd sooner work at Starbucks...
I know and the pay is a total joke.
I would rather do anything else.
Glina, Ya know.. Nurses might have to do the same stuff CNAs do... I am sure you will have to wipe a butt or two in your career...(although you'll get paid more :))
You know, I don't mind butt here and there for $30+ per hour. :nuke:
