Hopefully his class will be better than 4520!

This class is painful. Painfully stupid. Sorry I have nothing constructive to say. Just that this isn't making me a better nurse or a more educated person.

Other than community, I haven't learned anything beyond how to be annoyingly accurate on APA.

I'm starting in January. Any tips for getting through this course?

cincinursemary, this class is not bad at all compared to some of the others I have taken. So far my TA has been very fair on grading, and the assignments I do not feel are crazy compared to the rest!

Is anyone continuing their education after their BSN?

CoreyannF, I will need a year off just to recoup from this program and when I finish in April I will be 57. I figure by the time I can retire is about how long it will take me to get a MSN. I would love to go for a Masters in Education and teach online, just don't know if I will have enough energy and time to do it!

I hope and pray that 4520 is the most tedious course in this program - although I didn't particularly enjoy 4510 either! Other than my ridonkalous TA in 4510, mine have been pretty great. Cincinursemary (we're neighbors, btw!), this class really isn't bad. The discussion boards have been interesting so far. That therapeutic letter assignment was pointless but it was an easy 20 points I guess lol From what I've read, some people are having trouble getting grades in a timely manner? Grades were a lil slow the first week. Mine were posted by Thursday night. Thankfully I was off last weekend so I had time to do assignments later. I don't like starting assignments until I have feedback from the prior week so that was a lil frustrating. Other than that, it's been good.

Planwise, I'm not sure. I'll graduate in September-October and will take a year off to decide on grad school. I would like my Master's - more for personal goals than anything - but I'm not sure which path I want to take. PNP or FNP might make a move necessary. I really want at least 5 years of bedside under my belt before changing roles. I'm giving myself till 40 to start grad school, which is in about 3.5 years. We shall see!

Do we get new case study information each week on our family? Or do I use the same information I got last week for this week's DB posts?

Specializes in Pediatric Hem/Onc.

We have new info posted by the week.

We get new information about the same family. So I case study family remains the same with new details each week to build upon what we already know.
