My facility is Pointclickcare. I am having a hard time adjusting from the 2.0 to 3.0. The old one seemed more streamline and user friendly. There seems to be more intricate things going on in 3.0. The one thing I absolutely find great is the RAI manual is loaded right in there.
PS I am neither looking for bashing or endorsements of vendors. Just conversation on other's experiences.

I am also looking for information on MDS 3.0 software vendors? I would like to know if your programs are user friendly and if you are having a lot of trouble this week.

We use Answers on Demand. It integrates with Caretracker. We also use if for billing. It has had it's fair share of problems this week- I dont know if there was a "perfect" software company out there that didn't. But I submit tickets on what needs fixed and they do respond with in a timely manner and fix it. I started with 5 issues on Monday and am down to 2 which are minor(major ones have been fixed). Now the raps or Caa's on 3.0 are little harder to figure out, but overall I have been pleased with them. Have used AOD for about 5 years now I guess.

interesting about the integration with caretracker. i will be changing companies in a couple of weeks. they use caretracker. they also used a review company in the past, LTCQ and protracking? what i didn't like about that was you had to transmit to this review twice i believe before actually transmitting to the state. where i am now we use RCS and the cdr (clinical data review?) is built in and you just click on it and get instant results. there is enough to keep up without any more confusion. and to transmit to this other review company, you would wait until you had several. does anyone have anything similar? the software here now isn't bad, just kinks and freezes right now. not to mention prining issues. i think they will work themselves out though.

We also use pointclickcare. I'm not liking the format changes from 2.0 to 3.0. It's a lot to take in at once to have the 2.0 to 3.0 changes, and then to have the look of the software change is a great big PITA, if you ask me.
As the week has worn on, I am feeling better about things, like everything else with the transition, it's been a lot to get used to but I do feel like my management did a ton of training and supported me.
I like that the manual is right there too.

i like the sound of pointclickcare and the team support. we received training on the basic 3.0 assessment and rugs iv, but not the software. i think we are all learning together. does your software pull assessments from 2,0 over to 3.0? also, are any of you having trouble with receiving validation reports from cms?

We are on Matrix. It's okay. We liked pointclickcare at my company, but it was too expensive.
well, we lost two full assessments in the computer yesterday. zap..gone...not even an open blank assessment. my partner lost the first one, couldn't find it, did her raps and all (still doing a few 2.0) remembered everyone inputting. we have been so overwhelmed, i thought..maybe she mixed it up with another. noooo. then i went to input my data off a working copy. my entered assessment was gone. not only was it gone, but the entry assessment was no longer locked. in our system, you can not have two open assessments at the same time. beside, i had the printed out working copy that i was using. now that's weird and scarey. what if others disappeared. we have had some time outs where the rcs software closes down. many times. the only thing i can figure is if the assessment wasn't saved and it timed out, it might be lost. but when we print an assessment, it always saves it first. also, when we have surges, only what info you have inputted is lost, not the whole assessment. i reported it to IT and that bothered them as well. so, i guess we will see. now won't that be a mess after spending hours working on something it just goes away, kind of like we want to at times?

Our is Twonumbnutsinacan.
Still having all kinds of glitches. It won't validate because no matter what assessment you code for it throws old answers from prior 2.0 admits in there and fatal errors it. Can't transmit till they fix it. If they don't get it together, we'll end up in a default rate for numerous files. All that work for nothing.
I have had 'talks' with mine three business days running. It sounds like some of you all have it worse but I lost CAAs because their save features failed.

We use MDSCare by LTC-Solutions. It is also glitchy at this moment. I sat through a webinar yesterday evening and they told us everyone is having transmission problems and getting error codes from CMS, so I don't feel as bad now. Our RAI Coordinator told us in the webinar that things should start to balance out over the next couple weeks, so lets cross our fingers!!
