Hi Everyone,
I wanted to start this thread, so that prospective applicants to the nursing program can share our ideas and journey.
Thanks:)
I was thinking about UMD. But they have 3 humanity courses in the prerecs. I only have 2, Bioethics and Art.
They are pretty much like GMU in Maryland - a state school in the city. Highly competitive. I like their program though.
I went to Shenandoah for advising and applied there. That's my Plan B.
Pros: not as competitive, smaller class size, student/faculty ratio is lower.
Cons: their program is 2.5 years, pricey!
Plan C is NVCC.
Pros: lower cost, good program
Cons: not a BSN program
Both Shenandoah (SU) and NVCC require TEAS. So, guess what? I'm taking TEAS )) Haven't signed up for it yet.
UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!! so I finally took the teas for UMD, OMG TEAS is soo freaking difficult, especially the math part, cuz am not good with math... NO CALCULATORS ALLOWED, NOT ONLINE OR PHYSICAL... I didnt know, as soon as I was told, I blacked out... it is the worse ever....And some of the things they ask are just not sensible to me..Hesi is way better.. I will keep you guys updated on scores

Missy, thank you!
I took the video with my phone and it came out landscape instead of portrait.
its all done now.
The HESI page we are talking aboutwould have the green bar graph, right?
Here is my list:
1. Confirmation and Checklist (2 pages)
2. Unofficial Transcripts (5 pages)
3. Resume (1 page)
4. HESI Admission Assessment Exam Cumulative Report (1 page)
5. SlideRoom confirmation email (1 page)
6. Essay (2 pages)
I handwritten the G#on every page I'm submitting.
The essay header looks weird with the page number, G#, and question all cluttered together, but this is what their instructions say.
