Hi Everyone,

I wanted to start this thread, so that prospective applicants to the nursing program can share our ideas and journey.

Thanks:)

Missy, thank you!

I took the video with my phone and it came out landscape instead of portrait.

its all done now.

The HESI page we are talking aboutwould have the green bar graph, right?

Here is my list:

1. Confirmation and Checklist (2 pages)

2. Unofficial Transcripts (5 pages)

3. Resume (1 page)

4. HESI Admission Assessment Exam Cumulative Report (1 page)

5. SlideRoom confirmation email (1 page)

6. Essay (2 pages)

I handwritten the G#on every page I'm submitting.

The essay header looks weird with the page number, G#, and question all cluttered together, but this is what their instructions say.

well why dont you write it with a pen instead? afterall the other documents is with a pen. Atleast thats what am doing

yes the hesi page has the green bar graph on it

Submitted!

Good luck everyone and let's keep each other posted!

Same here. We will def keep intouch on here. Lankone whats next for you? My next application is UMD in shadygrove. I will be writing TEAS on the 26th of this month. Have you written Teas before?

Missycarlious, I'm doing the TEAS as well for UMD! Have you gone to an information session there?

I was thinking about UMD. But they have 3 humanity courses in the prerecs. I only have 2, Bioethics and Art.

They are pretty much like GMU in Maryland - a state school in the city. Highly competitive. I like their program though.

I went to Shenandoah for advising and applied there. That's my Plan B.

Pros: not as competitive, smaller class size, student/faculty ratio is lower.

Cons: their program is 2.5 years, pricey!

Plan C is NVCC.

Pros: lower cost, good program

Cons: not a BSN program

Both Shenandoah (SU) and NVCC require TEAS. So, guess what? I'm taking TEAS )) Haven't signed up for it yet.

Sorry Lanekone, for replying late..I think your options are great... Lets keep our fingers crossed

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!! so I finally took the teas for UMD, OMG TEAS is soo freaking difficult, especially the math part, cuz am not good with math... NO CALCULATORS ALLOWED, NOT ONLINE OR PHYSICAL... I didnt know, as soon as I was told, I blacked out... it is the worse ever....And some of the things they ask are just not sensible to me..Hesi is way better.. I will keep you guys updated on scores :down:

You can retake it next month, I believe?

Can you share the details please? Sections, format, etc.?

Thanks!

I took the teas on the 26 as well! How did you do? Where did you take it?

Missycarlious and Neen,

What textbooks did you use and how would you rate them?

Thanks again.
