Hi everyone! Who else has applied and does anyone know by when will they start to contact us for interviews? This would be my last chance to get into a new grad program, otherwise I would have to wait til the summer. So please feel free to post anything and everything here! Good luck to everyone!!

Caseywestt.... WOW!!! They let you know the same day!!!??!!! That is so awesome!!! Congrats!!! :)

Congrats caseywestt --

I interviewed at DOU 2 weeks ago and the manager told me that he likes to meet all the applicants first before making his decision. Can you please find out until when he will be interviewing? i'm sooo anxious to hear it from them!

the recruiter told me that she will keep in touch with me after the holidays... I was expecting thanksgiving holiday, but i guess it was xmas holiday! lol

Hello everyone! New to this forum. I had my first interview and it went well. I have an interview next week with ED, float pool, and DOU. Any advice going into this next round of interviews? I have no idea what to expect. So excited to move on to the next round and to even be considered for my dream job in the ED!! Thanks in advance for your responses!!

Hi nglaurenRN!

I will definitely try to find out more and let you know what they say! (: I am curious to find out when we would be notified by as well. How was the DOU interview? Also, kind of a stupid question but do you know if the DOU is the same as the CCU at white? When I was asked to come for the interview, they said it was for DOU/CCU. Not sure if it's the same unit, or if there will just be two different units on the same panel! I just want to be prepared! (:

Has anyone interviewed for the float pool??

Also, Lauren- did you interview for the ED as well? I have that interview coming up and the ED is my top choice. I'm already getting super nervous and trying to prepare myself as best as possible. Any advice?

Good luck to you!! I'll keep you posted with what I find out next week. Stay positive!! (:

For those who have gone through this process... any advice???

Thank you!!!! :)

does anyone know what what the new grad starting pay is? Also is it a different amount if you have a ADN vs BSN? I heard that the starting pay went down from $34 an hour to $26 an hour for new grads this year...I'm not trying to be greedy but we work really hard to get our BSN

...anyone have any insight?

new grad starting pay for White Memorial that is..

My second round interview was much more relaxed and I did get an offer that same day, which I accepted. Yes- the pay is lower than other hospitals but I'd figure beggars can't be choosers. I had been looking for an RN position for 6 months, applying to over 100 positions, attending nursing job fairs, etc and this was my first interview. But if you have options, then you can obviously make a decision based on what would be a good fit for you.

On another note, the pay does increase after the 4 month training program and after every year at the hospital. Hope this helps! Good luck to you.

Hi Anais1999- have they called you to go in for the paperwork or physical? Do any of you know when that will happen?

New Hire paperwork will be in January and the physical will be February. The physical can't apparently be done longer than an X amount of time before the actual start date, March 4.

Oh ok. I'm eager to get it on paper, I got an offer over the phone and I feel like I won't be sure until then.

I know exactly what you mean- I even asked if there was an offer letter that I can sign right away. But they scheduled me for the new hire paperwork in January. I am pretty confident that the position is for sure. At the new hire paperwork is when they will schedule you for the physical in February. Did they schedule you for the new hire paperwork? I mean if you have other interviews lined up, then you should just do it- that's what I did.

Nope she didn't schedule me yet, she said I would be getting a call from the HR lady to set up a date and that was yesterday. Hopefully I hear from her today.
