I only interviewed with ER, and they were very specific about that lol (they asked alot of questions trying to make sure i truly wanted to work in ER). I wondered the same exact thing. What other units are even hiring?? Something i said made them inquire if i ever thought about working in peds, but i quickly said no.

That's interesting, they asked me the same, for

Some reason they asked me how I felt about peds too. I saw the manager and the charge nurse. I also think they may have picked their favorite candidate before I went in because they kept telling me about other rn new grad programs and to apply anywhere I got the chance.

Peds might be the only unit left with openings I just cannot see myself working in peds lol. I put down ICU as my first choice on the application (and ER a close second) and after my interview the woman in HR told me that they did not have any ICU positions left. Maybe someone declined the offer. Good luck to you! Hope you get it!

Yeah I can't see myself doing peds either. It's weird how they place you, I had picked tele as my first choice and icu second but in my panel interview I just said tele. I mean if I get the job I'll be super shocked and if I don't I'm already preparing myself for the bad news, I think I jus feel lucky that out of all the 950 applicants I made it this far. nothing i even went back to the posts in this forum to the last group of new grads that were hired and it seems it took them about 4 weeks to hear something after the 2nd interview!!! That's insane.

augh! man! i called today and the recruiter wasn't there. This is crazy! I hope no news is good news, meanwhile I just keep applying to everything I see waaahhhh

Well I called today and the recruiter finally picked up the phone, apparently the positions have been filled. I'm not sure when they were thinking of calling all of those who didn't make it. But anyway! Hope you got the job @elle_andie! I wasn't picked :-/ either way good

I never got contacted by White Memorial. I spent a lot if time on this application and on those damn questions so I find it rude that they couldn't send out a simple email telling me that I would not be offered an interview. Honestly if that's how they run their hospital I'm glad I'm not working there! I start my new RN job this Monday at an amazing hospital and I'm excited to see what the future holds! For those of you still trying to find a job keep looking!! My suggestion is to contact people where you did your capstone. I used all my contacts and hustled for the job I got. You gotta be your own advocate!! Good luck everyone!!
