Which States in the USA dont require the CGFNS exam?

Hi just wanted to know for someone else really which States in the USA dont require the CGFNS exam?

A few that come to mind are Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Florida, California, New York..............plus there are many that you can endorse to once you have alicense in one of the above states. Only state that comes to mind that is very specific for CGFNS is Illinois, if you are a foreign grad, then they require that you have the exam, even if you already hold a license in the US. Onlyway around it is with two years of work experience in the US.

Many states are now just requiring the credentials verification by CGFNS but not the actual exam.............

Thanks to all that have replied....I have found out which state my friend is thinking of going to - it is Pensylvania or New England?? :)

I thought CGFNS was a national immigration department requirement, and not state by state?

CGFNS does a few things. The exam is not necessary for most states now but you DO have to get a visa screen from them and this is a requirement for immigration.

Pennsylvania is a state, New England is a group of states together, essentially where the pilgrims first went to when they came over on the Mayflower.
