while this video can be true for some people in some places, for various reasons, any rn who really really tries , can and will find a job, and while its true there is no longer a nursing shortage, nursing homes LOVE rn's for real, they get a bad rap . but a paycheck is a pay check

I disagree. A paycheck is not a paycheck when it compromises your values and ethics.

Really? LoL! Not true. Most people do REALLY REALLY try. I actually applied to 3 nursing homes, went to all 3 in person (with 4 yrs experience in LTC as a LPN), NO CALL BACK. When I went into two of them, I had an uncomfortable feeling, turned out they had a bad reputation. Glad I didn't get a callback. One nursing home kept saying, "We only have an evening CNA position available." I am a RN not CNA, I am not here for a CNA position. The second nursing home, the front desk where I applied - two other employees stood at the desk gossiping with the secretary, not the type of place I want to work. I will stick with my part time hospital job for now. Hopefully something full time will open up in my department.
