Which intervention cannot be delegated to the unlicensed nursing assistant?

-empty the indewelling catheters

-assist the 2-day post op hysterectomy pt to the bathroom

-monitor the peri-pad count on a pt diagnosed w/ fibroid tumors

I'm guessing 3 because I'm working as a unlicensed tech and I can do the other two. I've never been in a position to do the 3rd option but I have no rationale for not being able to do that.

I think it's def the 3rd one because i'm a Certified Nursing Assistant myself, but i was just making sure because some of the nursing questions can be so tricky and it also said "unlicensed."

Let me give you a hint, because you need to understand why; it's a nursing function. What do nurses do? Your aide can gather data, but you need to do something with it.

At first I was at a loss too - but the hint given in the last post gave it away...think of all things you can you can do/perform/observe as part of your nursing assessment
