Which CPR class did you take?

Seems like there are all sorts of different ones. Which one is most widely regarded as the best?

Don't know what your title is or if you are a student, but most healthcare professionals take

AHA CPR namely Healthcare Provider CPR with AED. I you are further advanced you may be required to take ACLS. I am an AHA instructor so let me know if I can help.

thanks for the info. i was looking at that aha course. i need to take it before i start nursing school.

is it normally just a 3-4 hour lecture, then written test, and then you perform it, then you're certified?

You may want to ask your instructor , I know I had to take a specific one or it did not count.

Yes, more or less it's a few hour of video, you practicing, finally doing it in front of the instructor and a multiple choice exam.

Yes, all AHA courses are video based now. You basically watch the video and practice along with it on a dummy.

Afterward you can show your proficiency to the instructor. Most BLS courses now have no mutiple choice test at the end. The written test accompanies more advanced courses i.e., Healthcare provider and up.

Let me know if you have further questions. Also, most BLS courses are 4 hours or less.
