  1. Yes, all AHA courses are video based now. You basically watch the video and practice along with it on a dummy. Afterward you can show your proficiency to the instructor. Most BLS courses now have no mutiple choice test at the end. The written test accompanies more advanced courses i.e., Healthcare provider and up. Let me know if you have further questions. Also, most BLS courses are 4 hours or less.
  2. Don't know what your title is or if you are a student, but most healthcare professionals take AHA CPR namely Healthcare Provider CPR with AED. I you are further advanced you may be required to take ACLS. I am an AHA instructor so let me know if I can help.
