Where did you worked as a newly Licensed Nurse?

Published

I got my license december of 2010. I've been searching for jobs for a few months already. Been to 3 job interviews, all of them offering a Part-Time Position, the first 2 were from a LTC and the last one were from an Immunization Clinic. I just submit my paperworks for the Immunization Clinic and I'm still waiting for training. So, I'm just curious, where had you worked as a newly Licensed Nurse?

Graduated in May 2011, work on a telemetry floor at a level 1 trauma hospital full time and at a hospice part time.

Graduated May 2011, started in July 2011 in the ICU... I know I am very very lucky - and so grateful for it!

Graduated May 2011, passed the boards in June and interviewed for two positions (both through referrals, had NO luck with 100+ internet apps) and got offers from both jobs. One was small psych facility and the other was a 8 week new grad telemetry floor position. Took tele and hoping to start by end of August (waiting for corporate and HR to connect is taking forever!)

Specializes in CVICU/ER.

Graduate in may 2010. Licensed in June...started in the MICU at a large hospital right before I got my license. As the above stated, I am real lucky to have gotten in and I never take it for granted.

Graduated & licensed December, landed a job in January--found a community hospital interested in new grads. Look for positions specifically advertised for new grads, or try to couple your long term career plans and/or previous experience with the jobs you apply for now. RNs aren't limited to hospitals & other facilities!
