  1. It was really hard to find work opportunities nowadays, especially if you are a NEWLY licensed individual.
  2. Yeah! the same thing goes in here too. Everyone wants experience and when you are searching for jobs, the expoerienced nurses who got their working hours lessen will be competing against you. So, you'll just basically get whatever opportunity that there is.
  3. I don't think that the hospitals here in AZ are hiring new grads. From what I'm seeing they always emphasize that they want someone with years of experience under their belt.
  4. I got my license december of 2010. I've been searching for jobs for a few months already. Been to 3 job interviews, all of them offering a Part-Time Position, the first 2 were from a LTC and the last one were from an Immunization Clinic. I just submit my paperworks for the Immunization Clinic and I'm still waiting for training. So, I'm just curious, where had you worked as a newly Licensed Nurse?
  5. I passed my resume last weekend and they called me last Monday and I had my interview last Thursday. And the supervisor said that she's willing to train me for 3 months if they will hire me and if I did any mistakes, they could fire me any time in that 3 months. They said that they will call me tomorrow if they will hire me. I'm quite nervous because this would be my FIRST JOB if ever. Any advice that you could give when it comes to Long Term Care?
  6. Yeah, I suggest that you need to get the one for RN because every thing that you need will be there and it would make you more prepared for the NCLEX-PN. I suggest that you get the ones from Saunders.
  7. Yeah, it would be helpful so in the nclex-pn exam. I had used that book in preparing too.:):):)
  8. It could be bought from Amazon.
  9. I just passed my NCLEX with 126 questions. I got lots of medications, SATAs, 2 audio questions, 2 computation questions and lots of prioritization questions. The number of questions that you had during the exam doesn't determine your chances of failing/passing... I hope that this one helps.
  10. yeah, God is truly awesome.. He finally answered my prayer.:)
  11. yeah, i am a graduate nurse from a foreign country and i went here right after graduation. Yeah, I'll still give the RN exam a try, but I'll try working as a Practical nurse first to gain more experience.
  12. It is Practical Nurse...:)
  13. After failing my RN for 3 times, I finally gave in to my mom's request to give the PN a try. After months of studying and many weeks of re-scheduling my exam because of family matters. I was finally able to take it last 23rd of December. And I keep on praying and asking for God's guidfance the whole time, and after a few days of waiting, I've seen my License Number on the State Board's site. This is really the BEST CHRISTMAS GIFT and an ADVANCE GIFT FOR MY 22nd BIRTHDAY, that I've ever and will I ever receive...:):):)
  14. same here.... I got my official result from my State Board telling me that I failed!!!
