Where have you worked as a LPN..????

I would like to see where all I can work when I become a LPN....

Hospitals are out the question I understand that they dont use them anymore in hospital..

But I would like to know other places Thank You

Where do you live that they're phasing LPNs out of hospitals? Where I am, LPNs are extremely active everywhere. The RN and LPN scope is very much similar and each unit (except ICU's, Emerg, L&D) hire basically 1/2 and 1/2. The LPN will have just as acute Pts as the RN.

LPN starting wage here is 33.08 and the RN starting wage is 34.60 (although the RN wage goes higher)

I guess besides all the previous "turf war" issues we were having, we have it pretty good here.

I've worked on the skilled floor in a hospital and the geri/psyche also med surg if needed. Mostly I have worked nursing homes, dementia floors, assisted living, supportive living, mental illness, I've done a lot of hospice as well mostly continuous care and a couple months as a case manager. I did all of this as an agency nurse.
