for pay Denver Health or university of Colorado med center would be better than HCA, Exempla, or Centura.
I am at an HCA facility, many of my classmates are at other facilities and I haven't heard any complain about work environments, but pay in Colorado is lower than in many other parts of the country.
There are horse stables in Aurora, and in Parker. the farther away from the city, the more likely you are to find horses, but the pay at the hospitals farther out will most likely be lower.
I just had offers from all 3 of the major players in Denver. Denver health offered the best pay, but I didn't like the facility/environment. Health one/HCA had the lowest pay and the worst hours ( for me it was a pay cut AND less hours than what I had ) Centura middle of the line pay, best schedule and newest facility.
Each system has their ups and downs so you have to weight them all. In terms of where to live, kinda depends on where you work and how much commute you like. I don't like driving far so that limited my options for living after I got my job.

Hello,
I am planning to move to Denver very soon. I have 3 years in the Surgical Dept. I do not know much about the different hospitals, except there are some excellent ones. Are there any favorites? Or least favorites? And why?
Who it the friendliest? Looking for a team environment with good pay and bennies!
Also, where is the best area to live? I have horses and would like to live and work in same area. I am single with no children.
Thanks in advance!!!
