we are both doing the 3 month ogp lease

A word of advice make sure that you know exatly what you are getting there have been errors recently like no appts or no furniture. You just do not need hassle after a long plane journey. So are they putting you up in Casa Grande? or in Phx, and do you both have kids?

i am about 3 months ahead with my immigration, fortunately i know the lady doing my meet and greet so that gioves me abit of a head start, we are going to ship a few personal things to her address, just photos and things that wont fit in the suitcases, she has promised to go and check out the apartment before we agree to it and check just before we fly that the furniture is sorted, that way if we get let down there will be a few days for it to get sorted rather than us having a nasty welcome off the plane

well thats the plan anyway

Thats great, I flew here six weeks before our immigration and organised our accomodation. I hadnt been informed that my agency do it for you. I also didnt get my moving information until a day before we travelled so thank god I did.

My friend arrived 2 weeks after me and it was like she was a VIP and the way myself and another family had been treated we would have ended up in a getto, the other nurse like me had fortunatly set up accomodation prior to travel. The meet and greet could barely speak English and he hadnt a clue what to do it was his first time. He met us in a car parking lot to fill in paper work one day, and Gill just bypassed him in the end. He took us to the wrong drug testing place and couldnt fine the BLS place I know I should write a book. It is a bit hit and miss, so I am glad you have somebody here to help you, that way you are sure things will move smoothly. Of course 9 months on I think the stress was really because of the time difference, the long journey and all the bloody suitcases lol. Compared to the rest of our journey it was a doddle lol

I commute everyday from Casa Grande to the Valley ie.. Tempe, Phoenix and Mesa.. SInce I do not drive in rush hour, as a nurses schedule permits, you probably won't either, I dont mind the drive (5 years now).. From Casa Grande to Chandler it takes about 30-35 minutes, Tempe add another 5 minutes, Phoenix (Awhatukee about 30 minutes but really in Phoenix CIty about 45 TOPS)... It is a straight shoot and all freeway.. I usually make it home before my co-works on "bad" days when they ARE stuck in traffic...Every body is traveling anymore.. Everything is in the middle but houses are getting farther and father away... DOnt let the drive stop you, check out these places before you "lock" in anywhere.. Rent first....Remember Phoenix is slotted to be the 5th largest city in the counrty in just a few years.. There is LOTS to check out and lots of places to check.. Ya know- YOu may even want to check out the housing area in Florence (40 minutes east of Casa Grande Grande Hospital).. Feel free to PM me for more info on CG...

You could probably commute from the northwest side of Tucson too there is much building work going on there and as far as I hear the schools are fairly good too.
