Maricopa would be a really close choice for you in Casa Grande. There's lots of houses on the market right now and it's a buyer's market. We live in Tempe and love it. That would be a haul for you though.
We thought we would live in casa grande to start with and look about later
but we need to think of our kids school and husband looking for work
As far as the school districts go, we love the Kyrene School District here in Tempe. They're bus-ing (is that right?) kids in from other districts (south Phoenix) because the enrollment has dropped. So many people move to the area, live a long time, kids grow up and parents don't move. So...fewer kids are enrolling in the district. Some of my kids' friends live as far as 35 minutes away and take the bus in to be in our schools.
Also, there's lots of places to work here in town as far as high-tech goes. Besides that, we have IKEA....:yelclap:

Already have
yeah we compare notes about once a month to see how we are both doing
actually topscot i may look into the commute from tempe, i will pm you :)
i have a friend that lives there he may be able to help us out there, at first glance on the map it looks like a 30 mile drive down the highway 10, but he might know better
chandler has some schools in the kyrene district which may be a bit nearer, dont know about the areas or quality of the schools though will have a look at the website
I think that Tempe is a long way over 30 miles away from Casa Grande-which may be a horrid commute if you are on Nights, I dont know if you are but you will be travelling towards Phoenix on the I-10 in Rush hour.
Are you renting or buying? I would recommend renting to get used to the area, and only signing a 6 month lease because by then you will have abetter feel for the area and will be ready for a move.
