Let us know your title, # years experience/specialty, what part of TN you practice, day/night shift, and goal(s) in your career.

I'll start:

Part of TN: Southeast ?

Day/Night: NIGHTSHIFT ALLLLL DAAYYY?

Future goals in health care: collegiate nursing education, entrepreneurship ?

Heyoooooo! Just moved to Chattanooga from Augusta, GA. I have been an RN for 12 years (99% ER/trauma) and a paramedic for 17 years. I currently work at home, I brought my job with me from Georgia to Tennessee. I have also been teaching part-time online in an RN-to-BSN program since 2017. Looking forward to seeing more of Chattanooga as COVID allows.

Future goals: retirement. LOL. I have as many degrees and certs as I will ever need!

Thanks! I love it, it's a lot of work on top of my full-time job, but I love interacting with my students.

My Tennessee license finally posted yesterday! Only took about 3 weeks from application + fingerprints. Not bad.

Hiiii! I actually am looking to move to a Tennessee within the next year and a half and looking for suggestions on where to live, best hospitals ect. I’m looking right now in the Knoxville area. But I’ve been a nurse for almost 5 years, trauma,ICU,labor and delivery, kind of all over the place LOL! Also how is the pay for an experienced RN??

This thread doesn't seem to be getting to much traction, but this seems like a decent place to put my comment. I'm going to be graduating in the Summer of 2021 with my MSN in family practice. I'm strongly considering/wanting to move to Tennessee. If anyone sees this who is an NP in the state I'd love to hear your thoughts on the work environment, market, general practice, etc. Thank you!

Title: Nursing Student -- graduating in December!

#years experience/specialty: Very new to the nursing game, but can pour you a kickass drink, teach you how to jump horses over things, and tell you all about world travels. And boats.

Part of TN: Nashville

Day/Night: I'm a night owl but working through those early morning hours sounds ROUGH. But do does waking up at 5:30 on the reg, so still TBD.

Future goals in health care: travel nursing!
