It seems that the only post that people are on is "bon secours...". And how about people living more in the north of VA it feels like only southerns are posting.

I bet you guess that I am from the north but it will be nice to have more Rn and student talking about school in fairfax, loudoun, princewilliam county too. And coomunity colleges as well.

I'll be there soon! Got a job in L&D @ INOVA Fairfax. If any one has any recommendations on where to live I'd appreciate it!

Are you wanting to rent or buy? lots of apartments around Gallows towards Merrifield as well as off of lee highway. I own a condo just off of lee highway, ok area, defiently a "Spanish" area, lol Give Craigslist.org a look of for rentals--Merrifields, Falls Church, Fairfax.

Hi all!

I live and work in Ashland, and am starting the Bon Secours program in the fall.:D

I live in Prince William County and will be applying to schools for fall 09!

Specializes in Acute Care of the Elderly.

I live in Pearisburg, VA which is really close to the West Virginia line. I attend New River Community College and in the Fall I will be in my 2nd year:yeah:

Lorton (Fairfax County) checking in... I'm a student at Northern Virginia Community College. I just finished up all my prereqs at the Woodbridge campus. I'm waiting on acceptance letter for Fall 08 Nursing Program. I'm a little anxious since this is the first year NOVA's nursing program is competative.

Hi how long did it take you to do the prereqs and which ones did you do?

I strongly recommend you get as many prereqs done prior to class start if all possible!! One has lots of readings in the second semester (nur 118)

Oh yes That's what I planned on doing even some other classes that are allowed before starting the programm.

Thats what I mean, like your psychology(201,202), pharmacology,a SPD class, HLT 141 (medical terminology--take that one online, super easy!! But very useful!!)

Hi,

It has taken me a bit longer because I was working full time, taking one class a semester and still deciding if this was something I wanted to do. I tested out of Eng 111 and Math 151, which was great because that meant 2 less classes to take. I have already taken Psy 201, 202, NAS 161, 162 and medical terminology (HLT ?-forgot the number, but agree it is an easy easy class). It's taken me 4 semesters. If you go full time, prereqs will be done quicker, possibly in 2 semesters-depending on how many classes you take a semester.
