Where are the RN/LVN jobs?

Hi Everyone I am a nurse license in CA. Graduated 2010 and pass the NCLEX the same year. No job for 9 months now.. I applied to every post in Craigslist.com, I walk in to the LTC's and only 1 facility called me for a position with 20 applicants. It's tough. I went to school for two years, I sacrificed everything just to finish school and I am really disappointed because it's almost a year and I still don't have a nursing job. I am not sure if I am even still considered a new grad. I am considering moving out of state but it's not that easy. Any advice fellow nurses? can an LVN work as a CNA in facility without a CNA license?

I saw a few RN positions open and was wondering about the hiring process.

This is my understanding of the hiring process, first, you mail in application, then they call you to go to test day which is an panel interview. What types of questions do they ask you???

waves327, can you please help walk me through how to tke the online test, i tried doing it on the spb.ca.gov website and im not getting to the exam. i already filled out an application online.

thanks for the information...i went to job fair & had my interview last week, are they still hiring for RNs?

I don't have a lot of experience as a nurse do you think they'll hire me?

How long is the waiting period before they notify you if you get hired.
