Where is the best place for new grad nurses? I graduate in May with a BSN and I want to move. I read a lot about how hard it is for new grads to find employment. Where are the jobs at? Whats a good place to move to?

I'm also graduating in March with a Diploma. It doesn't look good out there....I hear Texas has many hospitals that are hiring.
I lived in Dallas for a short while and that's where i want to move to. But, I don't think there are many jobs there either.

Uhm what? The only reason I am even thinking of becoming a LPN is because it's so easy to get a good paying job with it. There is a huge shortage of Nurses out there if ya didn't know.

Grasshopper, you are woefully misinformed. I'm sorry to break it to you but it's true. Spend a while searching Allnurses about this topic. No, there is not a nursing shortage.

I am in Rochester NY and there are many postings for both experienced nurses and new grads.....if you want hospital. If anyone is interested I would be happy to share info on the hospitals around here--private message me. I know they need ER nurses, but there are a variety of openings. And one of the hospitals has a new grad critical care training program for new grads who want to work in ICU.
Well....I live in NE ohio and the main reason I'm moving is to get away from all the snow. I want to move south, preferably. But the closer I get to graduation I'm considering other options.
