in NC? I have applied at LTC, some hospitals, government websites (prisons/school nurses) and urgent care clinics. I am applying all across NC since I have the flexibility to relocate, although I am trying to focus on smaller areas near the coast. I have been flexible on the days/shifts I can work, I have great references and a lovely resume and cover letter. I know things are tight right now - I am just trying to utilize all my resources. Thank you for any suggestions you can provide. I am trying to get my foot in the door so I can learn to be the nurse my faith wants me to be. :)

I know how you feel. It is really tough to find jobs these days. I first moved her a year ago. I was pregnant and trying to find a job. Talk about being stressed out! I finally got tired of looking online and doing online applications, so I started walking in places and asking if they are hiring. I didn't get a job at a hospital like I wanted to, but I did get offered a job through a long-term care facility/rehab facility in Raleigh. I work for Kindred. I work the rehab section, so much more acute, lots of hands on stuff to do. I have learned so much, but I am once again seeking job opportunities within a hospital setting. I hope this year of experience I have received working will help me with finding a job. I wish you the best of luck. I recommend just making a list of LTC facility and such and driving around to them and just going in and asking them if they are hiring. If they are in need, they will tell you. Best of luck to you!

Carolinas Healthcare System always has tons of jobs listed for Clinical Assistant (you can apply if you're a CMA/MA or LPN).
