Hello everyone,
I am a current senior at the University of Illinois studying Human Development and Family Studies. I transferred into Human Development back in my sophomore year of college. I decided that I wanted to go into nursing, and Human Development offered a great nursing track. During this time, my GPA was at an all-time low, and I could not further this downslope by tackling the pre-reqs for nursing school.
This is where my confusion comes. I am graduating this upcoming May with a degree that leads me into a job I am not interested in working in: Early childhood education, etc. My question is should I go directly into an associates in nursing ( I am taking a CNA course next semester) or wait for a year, finish my pre-reqs at a local community college and apply to the BSN next year?
I am going to graduate with an expected GPA or a 2.95 in HDFS. Please help. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.
