I'm taking pre-requisite courses like psycology, statistics, etc in spring. I'm wondering where you will buy the textbook for those pre-requisite courses? School bookstore or other websites? I'd like to buy second-hand books if possible.
Thanks!
I get mine at Half.com, a subsidiary of Ebay. At half, there is a wide variety of prices for any given textbook, based on its condition, which can range from brand new to a missing back cover. There is no waiting for an auction to time out, and the shipping is just $3.99 no mattter who you buy from.
I turn around and sell my books at half.com as well.
I always use www.bestbookbuys.com
Its a book search engine that searches the popular book buying sites (amazon, ebay, half.com, etc.) to find the best deals out there. You can search by title, author, and ISBN. I usually use efollet.com to figure out what books my school is using for each of my courses, and then I go online to find the best deals. Most schools use efollet or another large textbook supplier to buy their books and sell them to students in on campus bookstores.
Hi, I bought one of my books for next semester at the college bookstore (their price was similar to what I found online) and the other from Barnes and Noble online. I know a lot of people use international versions, and they are certainly much cheaper, but I'm skiddish to do that. Happy book shopping!
