Where do you buy your scrubs?

Published

Trying to find scrubs and not having much success. Been to all the nearby uniform stores but the prices for the good scrubs are high and 99% of the stuff is feminine colors and prints anyway. Does anyone know of a reputable internet company where I can order scrubs for men?

I have pretty much stuck with http://www.allheart.com myself now for a couple of years. They have a large variety of brands and colors so you are not limited. They also have good prices on stethescopes and the like too.

I prefer solid colors myself, when I have worn prints it is usually something custom made with fabric my wife picked out and knows I like. I have found if you ask around in a moderate sized hospital someone sews and sells scrub tops.

Your right I found someone that works at the Hospital that I work at that makes scrub tops very reasonable in price.

Hmmm, maybe some camoflauge scrubs?:rotfl:

I buy most of mine at Sear Outlet. Good quality scrubs for about 20 bucks a set. Unisex scrubs don't fit me. I need 3x tops (6'4" and 260lbs) but due to having a long torso, they are either too short, or the V line in the front is made for bosomy women and shows WAY too much of my hairy chest . Dickies are probably the best bet.

When I lived in Chicago I bought from Uniforms To You (UTY, and owned by Cintas). Twice a year they have a good 30% off sale, that's when I special ordered my Landau pants (cargo side pockets, eleastic and drawstring waist) and UTY tops. I'm a big guy and my sizes are always priced higher. IMO, getting the higher quality pant was money well spent, the tops are all about the same so I saved a bit by getting the nicer level house brand.

For shoes, I'm a believer in wearing white non-cloth shoes, I only buy New Balance in the 800 series, I buy from nbwebexpress.com. I don't go ultra-cheap, heck I have to spend a good portion of my life in these things. And, they're tax deductible for the purchase and cleaning.

Bill.

I buy most of my stuff from Jack Marcus. marcusuniforms.com I'm not a guy, but I dislike most of the cutesy stuff like cartoon characters and REALLY LOUD PRINTS.

I found out from some of the nurses I work with that the Marcus company is about two miles from the hospital where I work. The place is in a really scary neighborhood but inside I found a huge selection and very reasonable prices.

They do show a fair number of unisex or male scrubs on their website.

I've been happy with everything I've gotten from them.

Good luck,

I dont know ,my wife buys them all

and washes them and irons them also.

at least she finally stopped ironing my underwear

I like color and lots of it, but on my terms, no cartoons or typical scrub prints.

www.peachesuniformsofnc.com - Some nice prints in 3-pocket. Sturdy fabric. Fast delivery.

http://www.hawaiianfabric.com/content/scrubs.cfm - Beautiful light fabric prints made to order into 3-pocket tops. Check the scrub sizes at the bottom of the page. They're different from the adult shirt sizes (about 1 size up from standard). Worth the wait.

I buy my scrubs at perfect scrubs.com They have low prices

If you want good-fitting scrubs, go for Cherokee. They can be expensive, but they're worth it. Try to find the ones with lots of pockets!

I once (way back in 1998) bought some items with the S.C.R.U.B.S. brand name. NEVER again. They all started falling apart and/or developed holes during washing and drying.

I usually get my scrubs from Lydia's...Tafford is another good source. If your problem is finding too many places that sell female scrubs, you can't beat going online, as long as you know your size. I knew of a local store when I lived in North Carolina where I also bought scrubs, and one here in PA, but sometimes my size would have to be special ordered (I have a midriff). If you look for the unisex scrubs from Landau, you can't go wrong. And I used to have the URL for a scrubs seller that sold all kinds of colorful prints for men as well as women, plus animal scrubs (and not teddy bear type animals, but the real thing). If I come across that URL, I'll post it in here.
