Hi, everyone!!!
I am in ADN program, this fall semester is my last one, god bless me I just wonder when do you start to study for NCLEX, actually. How many hours a day?
Another question.
After graduate, how many graduate students working as a GN before passing NCLEX? And which one you prefer, working as a GN before NCLEX or waiting for NCLEX and then get a job?
Thank you.
dont know what to tell you about studying for nclex, everyone is so different, but for your second question- i worked as a GN, and loved it, but lots of ppl do boards and then work. all that working can do is help. really! its a personal pref, you will need to work that out when you get further in school. the only NCLEX thing i have to say is, dont start now, its not worth it! get everything you can in school and classes, THATS whats on boards.

Originally I said when you receive your acceptance letter as sarcasm. BUT I did purchase one and I havent started the program yet. Just reading the vocabulary terms, and a little common sense will sort of boost your confidence (slightly). Especially when you get the questions right in the first 5 chapters. Learning why you answered them wrong, is also very helpful. Im not ready for the more intense stuff yet, but Im comfortable with the beginner questions.

My school has you purchase Saunder's review guide for your very first set of books, first semester. I got a review guide the summer before I started class as well figuring it would be helpful regardless, as well, so I've been "studying" since about 4 mos before class started, technically.
I disagree w/ the poster that suggested that its "too soon". Some of the material is obvious even without a degree, and anything you don't already know the answer to when you see the question, you just research on the net. Its not going to give you a complete picture, but it will give you exposure to it, even if you didn't learn the material yet.
Its not rocket science, its just a test. The more exposure you have to what might be on it, the better prepared you'll be. I definitely would suggest studying today/tomorrow...asap.
