Hello everyone,
thank you in advance for your responses. I will be graduating soon and wanted to ask my New York City RN's when it would be most preforable to actively apply for jobs?
I have heard it is possible to go into interviewing without having actually passed the NCLEX yet and the facility will hold your place until you obtain documentation of passing the exam. I am not certain if that is true or not.
Please share your experiences with me!
Thank you

Hi! I'm not in NYC, but another city in NY. My hospital started recruiting in February, I interviewed the second week of March, and got the job the day after, on the condition I graduated and passed the NCLEX. (This was last year, I graduated May 2016)

Hi, I am from NYC and started applying a month before graduation. I got a couple of interviews and I am really hoping to get a job offer before I take the NCLEX so I can start working ASAP.

Hi sesiliachan! You're lucky to get an interview. What hospitals did you apply to? I've been looking for a hospital jobs here in nyc and long island wherein i can start my career.

Right after taking my nclex...alot of these good hospitals want to see that you have your license already (NY)
Hi may i know which hospital are you working? I'm looking for a hospital that accepts not a new grad and no experience in acute care, but has experience only in SNF. As fas as I've heard they don't accept Nursing home experience when applying in the hospital
