When you fail the NCLEX, does your nursing school contact you?

Published

Hello,

While I did not fail the NCLEX, my friend was not so fortunate. I am trying to comfort her during this devastating time. Our school has one of the highest NCLEX pass rates in the state and while our school told us stories about students who had failed (no names), she is concerned the nursing school will find out she failed and contract her.

How do schools keep updated with their pass rate?

Self-reported, typically.

Why is your friend concerned that the school would contact her? Seems to me that if they are willing to offer remediation, tutoring, anything that could help her on a next attempt, she ought to jump at the chance.
