When can I retake it?

Published

I failed on 08FEB (found out 10 minutes ago) and I would like to schedule my retake ASAP...most definitely before April ;)

Do I have 45 days from when I last took it, or do I have to wait for the stupid process, and THEN wait another 45 days before I can reschedule it?

Also, I took it in WI (applied for a WI license) since I graduated here, but I am in the Navy and will be stationed at Bethesda National Naval Medical Center...unfortunately cannot start actually working there, and they definitely need me because 35% of the staff is either deployed down in Haiti or Afghanistan.

So how does the whole retake process go about? I just paid for another exam...but I don't see where to schedule an exam, which will have to take place somewhere in MD now.

Any help?

btw, allnurses.com is an awesome site. I wish I knew about this place before.

God Bless you all :)

You need to know what the state retaking requirements are. I am from a state that says you can retake in 45 days. Look up on your state board and it should tell you. You will also get an analysis of your test results. It has three levels, below passing, near passing or passed that sections. I have failed as well and I am making sure I know the content better. In order to pass, you need to know content in order to answer the question.

You follow the requirements of the state where you will be retaking the test. Instructions should have been provided with your results letter.

ah, thanks guys...I just got the quick results though, don't know yet about the OFFICIAL results yet
