They don't know yet. I'll call them tonight. But when i told them that i passed NCLEX, they celebrated this event for a week.

I can just imagine how happy they'll be. Everytime i call, my mom asks the same question: when?....

I talked to my mom, she was very proud of me :) I'm the first educated person in my family, so they are too happy. My grandma goes around with my graduation picture and shows it to all of her girlfriends :rotfl: I'm hoping that next time i call, i'll be able to tell them the month and day when i'm coming.

Suzanne, i'm going to ask nurse recruiter to put dates of my vacation in the contract, but is it appropriate to ask for two months off?

Do you think they'll let me?

Usually it is not an issue, it will be without pay of course, but as long as they know in advance, and it is not over Christmas Holiday time.......this is the way to do it, get it in writing in the beginning, a suggestion for everyone............

Depending on staffing and the actual facility, they will at least give you one month, the rest will depend on them. I am so happy for you..............:wink2:

Where exactly are you going to be going to?

No, i just got the job offer. Also, i told them that i'm interested in their department ( medicine unit). But I let nurse recruiter know that i would also like to check out ortho/trauma unit :wink2: And now they called me from neuro unit, which i didn't even apply for( but i'll still go and see it :wink2: )

Yes, all 3 positions are in the same hospital.

Yes, direct hire, i don't have anybody, except for my greatest advisor-YOU :kiss

I do need to go ahead and accept something already, because i have to apply for AOS before my semester ends (december), but they haven't called me yet from ortho/trauma. I'll wait one more week and then just accept the mecinie unit if i still haven't heard from them. There is very little time left and a lot to do.

Wishing you joyful and easy moving.

You need to apply for the OPT before you finish school. That will permit you to begin work as soon as you get a license and not have to wait for the rest of the immigration things to be taken care of. The AOS can't be done until after you have passed NCLEX.
