Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!
Ok.. I had to go back and edit. God wasn't part of her name.... Just the beginning of my prayer there!!
LMAO! I thought it was one of those hyphenated last name deals!
But STILL! :rotfl:
Heather
Had a patient once named Teewackie....first name
We have a urologist named Dr Peters
Went to nursing school with a girl.. her last name was Nutt.. she went to work at a Psych hosp--- Hi, I am Nurse Nutt.. can you imagine??

I recently did a rotation where the charge nurse was named " Comfort" . I also work with a nurse named " Lovely, "
"Douchay"
Literally pronounced "Doo-kay"
WTF?
My mother's maiden name is " Vanes " My little cousin's name is Woody Vanes.
I went to school with a Carol Anne Rumpp and a Tina Butt. I also dated a guy whose last name was Rachoff(pronounced " Rock-off"
Oh, my God...I cannot believe I forgot this one. When I was in middle school...I had a friend named and I am not lying...AREOLA. I always thought it was such a pretty name until I mentioned her to my mom and my mom was like, " WHAT"S her name?! Her parents got it out of a dictionary. I guess they didn't read the definition. She has since changed her name to " Yola" because of all the ridicule.
