So I just finished rearranging and working out my schedule and I think I'm done. I have a pretty hefty load next semester mostly because I'm really pushing to try to get in by Fall (07) and my CC goes by points so I really need to squeeze the points in. I think I can manage.
My schedule looks like this:
Monday-A&P II lab
Tuesday- Com, & A&P lecture
Wednesday- CNA clinical from 7am -3pm, CNA lecture from 5-8pm
Thursday-Com, CNA lab, A&P lecture
Fridays I have off and I take Sociology online
I just want to know that there are other pre-nursing students out there that are attacking a heavy load next semester so I don't feel like I'm insane!
What's your schedule like?
Tues and Thurs: Advanced Anatomy and Physio - 10a-11:45aMon and Wed: Advanced Anatomy and Physio lab - 12p-1:50p
Mon and Wed: Biological Chemistry - 6p-8:15p
Tues and Thurs: Written Analysis of Literature - 6p-7:15p
Wed: Professional Role Socialization - 4:30p-5:20p
Two days of labs? I've never had that before. But, I do have Fridays off so I can study. And no classes before 10am and Monday's first class starts at noon. I will be working 2 12's every weekend. Doesn't leave much room for fun. That's why I planned a spring break vacation to San Diego. Figured I'd need the beach after all of this.
Wow, 2 days of labs--you're right that's different! I would expect that it might be better that way because I found that having them once a week I would somewhat forget the previous lab by the time the next class rolled around so I would say it's a good thing

I am only taking 2 classes but load combined with everything else I do is alot.
tue/thursday 11:00-3:20 Microbiology
Fri/Sat 9:00-2:10 Anatomy phys 2
Monday I work at my sons school in the afternoon, mornings are reserved for studying, wed is also a study day. I plan to go in school tue/thurs at 8am and study till 11 for my micro class and Sat I stay till 5 in AP. Sunday is my day with my family unless I have something big going on at school the following week.

We have lab right after lecture for both my classes AP is set up for 1.5 hour of lecture 3.5 hours of lab twice a week. Of course last semester my instructor continuiously went over in lecture so we never had enough time for lab and had to come in on our own time.
My schedule is significantly lighter than fall was! For spring I am taking A&P II and Spanish 1 at my regular school and EMS 121 (2nd in the 3 quarter EMT-I course). That's 7 semester hours and 7 quarter hours. Plus I'll have the 3rd quarter EMT class starting in late March, so another 7 quarter hours for that. All are on Monday and Wednesday with my A&P lab on Monday.
For fall I had A&P I, US History to 1865, Human Growth & Development, First Aid, Medical Terminology, and the 1st quarter EMT class. It was ROUGH!!
CG
anyone stacked these classes together before? i know it's alot
Marlon,
Wow, all I can say honestly is good luck. I was not brave enough to take more that one science with lab at a time, mainly because I work full-time and it wouldn't have been possible for me to be successful. I've seen friends of mine tackle two out of the three in one term and come out fairly sane, but 3?! I understand some students here have time constraints in terms of when they need to complete these classes to enter a certain program, but remember that you're no good if your brain is fried!

I'll have a load that I consider heavy. I'm doing the same as you - really vying for a spot in the Fall '07 clinicals, so I have to get as much in as I can. I'll be taking:
Mon - Nutrition test 8 am; A&P II lec 10-12, lab 1-2:30
Tue - Eng 101 1:30-2:45
Wed - A&P II lec 10-12, lab 1-2:30
Thur - Eng 101 1:30-2:45
Fri - Microbiology lec 11-1, lab 3-5
(Nutrition is a self study course but we have mandatory test times every Mon morning)
We can do this
I am a SAHM of three (2,4,6) so I take night classes. I am taking my last two prereqs...
Microbiology Lecture and Lab (Mon&Wed 5:30-8:15)
Anatomy and Physiology 2 Lec and Lab (Tues&Thurs 5:30-8:15)
I am a bit nervous about it but I managed Stats and AP1 so I just have to keep the faith :). Hopefully it won't kill me!

Seriously though...me neither. I wasn't sure about taking my sociology class online but when I realized that I had a few hours in between my communications class and my A&P class I realized if I stayed on campus rather than return home for a while then I would have time to get my sociology homework and studying done.
As far as getting accepted...I'm on the same boat! I am bustin my behind off too in hopes for a Fall acceptance....my school doesn't let applicants know until the middle of summer whether or not they are in...crazy huh?
