My plan B was Education...but I'm going back to pursuing something in Health.I'm not so sure what specific career yet.

As someone who got into Nursing school on her second application, I would suggest that you work in health care while you continue applying. After I didn't get in my first time, I got a job in assisted living and applied again (I didn't have any more classes I could take). If I hadn't been accepted the second time, I was going to get my CNA. Even with my unlicensed job, I was practicing skills and learning about geriatrics in a real life setting, and it gives me a little leg up for clinicals as far as talking to patients, remembering hand hygiene, etc. It totally helps!
Curious to know .... will having a longer period of hospital volunteering generally look better than having less? I know some people start volunteering right before applications are submitted and I don't know if admissions consider that suspect (that they started volunteering to fluff this application rather than establishing long-term desire). I ask because when I applied last year to the nursing school I was waitlisted, I had 6 months at the hospital and probably @ 100 hours of service. Now I am reaplying to the same school and I have 18 months at the same hospital and over 400 hours. Was curious if it will equate to healthcare experience for purposes of the application (I know in substance it won't but perhaps in terms of commitment to the industry?) ... also, I have since completed my last science prereq for them with an A which I had not yet taken when I applied last year. That might help too.

I'm already on plan C.... I got accepted to A and B but couldn't attend... No $$$. If I don't get accepted to this nursing program, I may try something with languages. I am passionate for languages. :) :)

I think it can't hurt to have more experience. At my school, they changed the application form and now they ask you directly if you have any volunteer experience. It definitely shows dedication to the industry!
