Hi all,
Is it me or it's rare to find a nursing job in New jersey right now. I used to work for OVK and I had to quit my job because my father died back in may and had to go outside the country for funeral. I should have taken a leave of absence but I didn't exactly know when I would be back and I was thinking of moving to another hospital, so i figured i will start fresh when i came back. I have been back for two weeks now, and applied to all hospitals around my area, but unable to get a call back. I even went through agencies, even travel companies. No luck!!!
What is going on? HELP!!!!

Have you considered re-applying for the hospital you resigned from?

Well most hospital including mine are a hiring freeze for the nursing department because so many RN's are looking for jobs because 3 major hospitals have closed and those RN's need jobs. Columbus Hospital and St. james Both closed their doors and Muhlenberg Hospital has as well, My hospital has hired about 10 RN's from this hospital.
